CALLIE CARPINTERI
Callie Carpinteri is an award-winning LA-based writer/director from South Florida. While studying film at the University of Florida, Callie was the recipient of the highly competitive Television Academy Internship Program for the Scripted Development category. Her two thesis short films, Indecision and The Aftermath, both of which Callie wrote and directed, screened and won numerous awards in the festival circuit including a Student Production Award by the NATAS Suncoast Regional Emmys.
Upon graduating, Callie co-wrote and directed her first independent short, a coming-of-age comedic drama titled, Dirty Towel that premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Festival. It went on to screen at over 25 other festivals such as the Austin Film Festival and Cleveland International Film Festival, winning various awards. As a young, female filmmaker, Callie’s passionate about telling complex, female driven stories that empower women and inspire conversation. She’s also committed to the representation of women both in front of and behind the camera.
